Convention 2013 - Vintage Swap

I have been super into vintage cards lately so I can't wait for this swap!  I also had a lot of fun creating this card.  The vintage look was achieved by Crumb Cake Sponging the entire surface and Early Espresso Sponge Daubering the edges (yes I Daubering like its a word *smile*). 

I made the tag myself.  Cut your paper at 2-1/2" x 3-1/4".  Then using the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate, Score at 1-5/8" on the short side and 2-3/8" on the long side.  Then I cut along the score lines.

The button is made from Simply Pressed Clay and then dyed Early Espresso by spraying it with a Spritzer filled with alcohol and Re-inker.

Convention 2013 - Blig Swap 1

Inspiration for this card came from Dawn and Friends.  It is a very elegant and eye catching card.  Everyone I show it to  ooohs and aaahs over it.  The tray is made from the Scallop Border Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch and a rectangle I cut out with scissors.  The ribbon on this card is a sneak peak from the up coming Holiday Mini.  Just love that shimmer and sparkle!

Convention 2013 - Wednesday

I cant promise I will post everyday as things are going to get very busy starting tomorrow afternoon, but I thought I would post today.  My flight into SLC was uneventful, which is very good.  I have already participated in a Scrapbook Swap (pictures will be posting of my scrapbook pages early next week) and an event hosted my Lisa Rodriguez.  She put on an AMAZING event again this year!  Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

Convention 2013

I am almost ready to fly out for Stampin' Up Convention 2013!   I am so excited!!!  My posts over the next week or two will be coming daily and start with Convention 2013 as the title.  I will be posting up each of my swaps for convention.  Two cards that I am swapping in general I have already posted:

As most know I have a bee theme to my online name and sites.  So I decided to make this little bee to go on my name tag and some other things for convention!  I got the design from a picture I took off the Display Boards at last year's Convention.  I thought he is just ADORABLE! 

For the stripes, I punched an Ornament out of Basic Black and then used the Wide Oval Punch to punch out "slices"  every other slice was used here and the other half was used on another bee.  The head is the top of a Large Oval Punch.
