Gift for my Roommate at Conventions

I know it has been a month since Convention; however, I just realized that I never posted the little gift I made my roommate.  There are a couple of items that I used that have since been retired; however, this will give you the idea so to make your own.  It is fairly simple to make and makes a great gift!

Using the Top Note Die I cut out three images from chipboard, then covered the front with cardstock and Designer Series paper.  Using coordinating ribbon I ran it along the back adhering it with Sticky Strip to each piece.  I then covered the back with matching Designer Series Paper.

I decorated the top piece with a saying and some flowers made from the Boho Blossoms Punch.  I hid the seem between the papers with some more ribbon.  this belly band does not go around to the back.

The second piece I attached a calendar.  This calendar I actually printed from Word (a 12 month calendar) and then cut it up and connected it all with brads.

The final piece I attached a Post-It pad for writing notes.

Birthday Wishes

I am a huge fan of moving parts on a card.  I will be honest, I cant remember where I got the inspiration for this but find it an Excellent template for Easy Events and Petite Pairs stamp sets.  One technique used here is masking.  I took a small post-it not and masked the saying under the tree so that I could use something else.

My moving part is the label.  The petite pairs work perfect for splitting up small sayings!

Blender pens, a great way to look like you worked harder than you did.

Here is an ADORABLE gift idea!  These were also given to us in the "Workshop in a Bag" at convention.  And can I just say, LOVE the new In-Colors!

The topper is just a 2-1/2" Circle Punch.

Cupcake Card

Here is a cute card that was part of the "Workshop in a Bag" from convention.  My guests made this at my New Catalog open house! 

This is a very cute way to use the Notecards package!  I love the idea of using the envelope as a pocket.

When you slide the card up it reveals a happy birthday flag.

The cupcake has lots of bling!  Glitter on the frosting and pom-poms and a flower with a Basic Diamond.
