My Valentine's Day Card

Every year, for every occasion my husband will make me a card. He knows that I make cards and would much rather get any type of homemade card over a store bought card from him (seems silly with a room FULL of supplies and even made cards). Usually it is a piece of printer paper folded into fourths and drawn on, and I Love them! This year, without me knowing, he got into the "Dude, Your Welcome" kit to make me a card. Though I did have a good laugh because he gave me the card without an envelope. I asked him why he didn't use one from the kit and he response was, how was he supposed to know that everything he needed was in the kit, it was too complicated LOL! He had actually found a piece of white card stock, cut it in half with my cutter, scored it with my cutter, then opened the kit for the stamp and ink. He used one of my markers, Ridinghood Red (or as he called it little red riding hood one), to draw on the front and write the Very Endearing message on the inside. Like always, the card was the highlight of the gift.

Santa Gift Set

 I was given this cute set at a demonstrator run make-n-take event.  I was in love with it on first sight!  I replicated it at home and it makes a great gift set!  The three items are a notebook cover, anti-bacterial gift holder, and a 3" x 3" card.

When you open the notbook cover, you see the decorated top as well!  Here are some guidelines for you so you can make this.  I am giving it as a Thanksgiving gift to track notes and gifts!

Cut Real Red cardstock to 8-1/2” x 10-3/4” and score it widthwise at 5-1/2” and 5-1/4” for the cover
Cut Basic Black cardstock to 10-3/4 x 1-1/2 and score it widthwise at 5-1/2” and 5-1/4” for the belt
Cut Candlelight Christmas DS to 5” x 2-1/4” and score it lengthwise at 1” and 1-1/4” for the notebook top

The Anti-bacterial Gift Holder looks complicated but is quite easy.  Here are some guidelines.  This makes great office and neighbor gifts!

Cut Real Red cardstock to 12” x 2-3/4” and score widthwise at 3”, 4”, 7-1/2”, 8-1/2”, 10-3/4”, and 11-5/8”

In the second to last section you scored (the last section will be a small ¼” strip, punch a hole in the middle with the ¾” Circle Punch or cut a square out.  This will be where the anti-bacterial top will come through.

 
Put adhesive on the outside of the end ¼” strip and adhere it to the back so that the cardstock makes a square.

The buckle will hang over the edge.

Adhere one side of the Velcro behind the buckle.  Place the opposite side of the Velcro on top of the first side.  Close the lid so it creates a square edge on top and push the Velcro in place.  There will be Real Red showing on the bottom below the belt.
