My Niece's Birthday

My niece just recently turned 10.  I cant believe she is 10 already!  She loves to stamp with me and so I love to make her a special card on her birthday.

Moving Forward Friend

Another tribute to a retiring stamp set, Simply Said.  This elegant card came from Stampin Connection, a wonderful site that is a community of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators to share wonderful ideas.  Just one of the many perks to being a demonstrator!

This card is made with one of my favorite color combos, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive!  The cute accent flowers are made with Itty Bitty Bits set and coordinating punch set.  With a little Dimensionals they pop right out at you!

Tip - to get the flowers in a straight line, put a piece of paper over the cardstock before stamping.  The overlap will go on the paper and looks like you worked hard to line up the stamps!

Blissful Butterfly

This is an all occasions card.  I like to have a few of these laying around for those moments when you need a card for something unplanned (or forgotten).  This card uses a set you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration so make sure you don't miss out!  I got the idea from Stampin Up demonstrator Jessica Luther.

The butterfly was cut out on the Big Shot and attached with a little Sticky Strip on the spine of the butterfly to make it look like it is going to fly away.  It is hard to tell from the picture; however, the edges of the white are distressed using the bone folder.  You just run the edge of the bone folder along the edge of the paper.  More passes creates more distress.

Animal Cracker Bunny

I am honoring retiring stamp sets this week.  Saw this on Split Coast Stampers and thought it would be perfect.  Split Coast Stampers is a great place to get ideas when you are stuck.  Many wonderful artists share their work there. 

The card is 4" x 4" and the white is 3" x 3".  I selected two flowers and a rhinestone brad from the Pretties Kit.  I brushed Pixie Pink on the edge of the white then decided to put it on Pixie Pink, next time I wont brush the pink.  Otherwise it came out cute.

Scrapbook Booklets for Scrapbook Month

It is officially National Scrapbook Month!  In honor of the month I have created two different Projects.  The first are the Booklets that you see above.  The second is a mini scrapbook which will appear in my next post today.  These projects are a part of my Class on May 19th and also available as Kits To Go.  Please see the bottom of this post for more information.  These booklets make great gifts as well!

The first is the theme "First Day" and is a great way to scrapbook your child's school year photos.
