Halloween Candy Card

I was going through my over full Google Reader the other day and saw this card.  I was immediately in love and knew I had to make this for myself!  Absolutely fantastic!  And there is nothing better than a homemade card, except a homemade card with CANDY in it!

The envelope inside is created with DS paper and the Simply Scoring Tool with the Diagonal Plate.  Mary Fish was AMAZING enough to put together all the dimensions necessary to make your own envelopes!  The envelope I used here was a 4 x 4 and then I cut off the flap.  You can make a 5 x 5 to put the whole card in!

After my helper finished playing with the wrappers of the candy I had to "taste test", she passed out on me!

Shaving Cream Halloween

We made this card in my Monthly Technique Class.  The technique being Shaving Cream Technique.  So much fun!  We created the background with shaving cream and Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and More Mustard Re-Inkers.

Stampin' on Ribbon

This card is right from the Stampin' Success, an amazing magazine/newsletter that demonstrators receive monthly!  What a great perk.

I used the Cotton Ribbon from the Holiday Mini here.  It is so easy to stamp on and it comes out great!  I am a fan.  And the Border Banter is literally made for it!  Just because this set has holiday stamps does not mean it is a holiday set.  Just imagine the possibilities!

Keep Calm and Stamp On

I made this card recently for a friend.  She was having a very bad week and desperately needed some stress relief.  Like me (and many others), she finds stamping to be a wonderful escape and a very relaxing hobby.  I thought this card was a prefect card to send her to cheer her up.  We also got together for a much needed day of stamping!  Needless to say, I love having this set in my collection!

A Midnight Nature Walk

I dont know if you have noticed but a lot of my cards use the new 2012-2014 In-Colors.  When I first say them I wasn't sure what I thought but I find myself loving them and using them for everything.  Here is another example, Midnight Muse.  I could have used Night of Navy just as easily but I didn't for two reasons.  1. I love to deep beauty of the color.  It is even deeper and more rich than Night of Navy.  2. I LOVE the stitched ribbon that only comes in the new In-Colors!

I made this card as a elegant birthday card but I would recommend leaving the words off and using it as an "emergency" card and is a perfect look for a get well, thinking of you, or sympathy card too.

Be sure not to miss the Midnight Muse "shadow" under the Label framelit with the flowers on it.  Its a little hard to see.  It is a second Label cut out of Midnight Muse, cut in half, and then adhered to the back to create a shadow underneath.  The whole Label is then popped up with Dimensionals.

Stipple Blossoms Birthday

I have been down sick with a nasty cold, so today is a yucky day for me.  I thought I would share flowers with you to help cheer me up. 

This is a simple card that carries a lot of beauty.  I love two-step stampin!  It gives dimension and beauty without the work.  The Color Coach makes it even easier.  I just decided that I wanted a yellow flower and green leaves and then went to the coach.  Using the Dynamic Duos it told me which colors work the best!

The stem for this flower actually comes from Betsy's Blossoms.  I am not great at drawing so I took the chance out and stamped instead.  I added the large scallops on the edge for a splash of color.  This was done with the Large Scallop Edgelit.  And, of course, I went to my tried and true Teeny Tiny Wishes set for my sayings.  If you dont have this set, Why Not!

I hope you enjoy!  Now if I could just get over this cold so I can get back in my stamp room!  So many ideas, so little time.

My Niece's Birthday

My niece just recently turned 10.  I cant believe she is 10 already!  She loves to stamp with me and so I love to make her a special card on her birthday.
