Fabric Bag

I needed a little hostess gift the other day so I pulled out some fabric and ran it through the big shot with the scallop square die.  I pulled out my sewing kit and did a quick hand stitch around three sides.  And Tada, a cut little bad for treats!  I am not a sewer, I am lucky to get a button back on.  This just shows how easy it is!

My hand stitch was a little uneven but whose looking when there is candy inside!

Have a Cute Christmas

I had a very sad disaster occur at my last Stamp-A-Stack.  You may remember this post with the wonderful letterpress plate.  Well, we were going to make this card and as I was demonstrating how to use the plate I made a fatal error!  I forgot to flip my multipurpose platform from tab 2 to tab 1.  By the time I had realized my mistake the beginning of the letterpress and gone through and because it is plastic, it flattened the design :(  So please learn from my mistake and make sure your platform is on TAB 1 or it will ruin the plate!

With some quick thinking on my feet and some help from some of my girls we whipped up this adorable card using the same materials we already had available.  I think the ladies had fun decorating their Christmas trees.  Needless to say, the card was still a big hit!

As the card base is dark I had extra Very Vanilla for the inside of the card.  We put a cute package to go "under" the Christmas trees.

Shimmery Ornimental Christmas

Another great find that looked so fun and simple I had to make myself.  The original was done by Rhonda Griffin and can be found here.  It was voted most popular by her group, I can see why!  This would be very easy to make 20-30-40...for this years Christmas card!

I made a few changes to the original but not the color scheme, I love that Pacific Blue!  I used one of the ornaments from Delightful Decorations.  I tied the 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon into a little bow and attached with a Glue Dot.  I scallop punched the edge then attached a quarter piece of cardstock to the back.  I like using a piece that covers completely so it looks attractive on the inside as well as the outside.  You can also use the Pacific Blue as your card base and overlay the Whisper White.

Using the Frost White Shimmer Paint I created a shimmer spray.  Just take a small spray bottle (maybe an old Stampin' Mist bottle) and fill it 3/4 the way full with rubbing alcohol.  Add 5-6 drops of Shimmer Paint and shake well to mix.  Hold the card about arms length from the spray bottle and spray a couple times to coat the card.  It will look wet at first but the rubbing alcohol evaporates and leaves a beautiful shimmer!

I like adding a stamped image to the inside of the card that matches.

You can always step it up a notch by adding an adorable Basic Rhinestone to the middle of the ornament!  Love that Bling!

First Wrapped Present of the season

As you may recall, I started playing with fabric here.  I cleared out a little time in my stamp room and I finished a brooch and designed how I will be wrapping some of my gifts this year.  Think they came out adorable!

I used a white plain wrapping paper.  I cut it to size of my package and then used a Jumbo Wheel to decorate the paper in Real Red.  After it dried completely I wrapped the gift, added a tag stamp and brooch instead of a bow.  Very festive!

The brooch is SO easy and only took me maybe 30 minutes from start (the package of fabric in hand) to finish.  Everything you need to know and step by step directions come right with the package of fabric!  Cant get any easier than that!

I love using wheels on packages, if you do it before you wrap the gift you get neat fold too.
